| 1934 | The European Championships move to the Rotsee: 12 countries race in seven events |
| 1947 | Europe's first post-war championships also take place on the «Lake of the gods». |
| 1962 | FISA stages its inaugural World Championships. West Germany collects five of the seven gold medals. A record 45 000 spectators throng the Rotsee's banks for the Finals. |
| 1974 | The Worlds return, and include the first women' s events. East Germany takes gold in ten of the 14 boat categories. |
| 1982 | The Rotsee makes it three in a “row” . Men' s Lightweights join the total of 18 events. The Swiss coxless IV of Netzle, Saile, Trümpler and Weitnauer wins the world title. |
| 2001 | It' s Worlds time on the Rotsee again. 28 of the competing nations win medals in the 24 events on offer. Among them is Switzerland' s Pia Vogel, with a bronze in lightweight sculls |
